The Fund operates as an advisor to clients that include businesses pursuing investment opportunities in the region. The Fund’s client list also includes global investment banks requiring the expertise of a partner with a strong regional presence. Investment banking partners include Credit Suisse First Boston (CSFB), JPMorgan, Morgan Stanley, and Rothschild.
The Fund’s primary services include investment banking, financial, and energy and utility advisory services.
RAEF recently participated in the consortium led by CSFB for the privatization of Romania’s gas distribution sector. Current advisory projects include the privatization of Romania’s last state-owned bank in partnership with JP Morgan, the privatization of major electrical power generation facilities in partnership with Deloitte Touche, and the sale of Romania’s largest bank, Banca Commerciale, to a major Western European bank in partnership with Morgan Stanley.
The Fund also provides investment banking services to the
government of Romania, international corporate clients and domestic
businesses.
